Daily Announcements 9/30

Attention Juniors and Seniors: Representatives from Aldersin Broaddus University West Virgina, New England Institute of Technology, Boston University, Fitchburg State University, University of Rhode Island.  Westfield State University, UMass Dartmouth, and Johnson and Wales University will be visiting next week. Interested students may sign up in advance in the Guidance Center. Sign-ups will not be allowed the day of the college visits.

Next Thursday, October 3rd, will be the first meeting of the new Chess Club. All will be welcome to this informational, first meeting including teachers and students. No chess skills or knowledge are required and we will be happy to teach everyone. The meeting will be held in Mr. Loell's room, 311, after school and if you have any questions see Case Framson. Checkmate. 

Attention students who helped out in our NEASC Accreditation last year, our first meeting will be next Wednesday, October 2nd at 2pm in Room 324. We will film your documentaries.

 
Interested in joining the school newspaper? Come to the first meeting of the Falcon Flyer next Thursday, October 3rd at 2:00pm in the English lab (room 313) All are welcome! 


The boy's soccer defeated Bourne on Friday 1-0. Tim Guimond scored the goal, while Nate Swartz assisted. The team also had their annual community service project for "PRIDE" and all the players did a wonderful job. 

Attention JV Football Players, There WILL be a JV game today @ 3:30. Players need to be on the field @ 2:30. 


The Girls Soccer team defeated Bourne on Friday by a score of 2-0. Emily Tibbels and Zoe Karavlois scored for the Falcons. Sam Rodrigues had both assists. Mae Stebbings had recorded her 4th shutout of the season. Sarah Enos & Katie Day played well on defense. 


The JV Girls Soccer team defeated Bourne 1-0 on Friday in a hard fought game. Megan Moran scored the lone goal for the Falcons. 


Just a reminder to all prospective NHS members. If you receive a letter last week, you MUST attend a mandatory meeting after school in room 220. If you have any questions please see Ms. Payne or Mr. DeLano. 


Also, attention current senior National Honor Society students. We will have a meeting after school on Tuesday, October 1st. We will be electing NHS officers at this meeting. The meeting is in Mr. Delano's room, 220. 


On Saturday afternoon,  the D-R Football Team defeated Wareham 51-6.  Rushing touchdowns were scored by by Jake Salera, Cody Trudelle, Matt Goss, Jacab Junker and Norman Manchester. Kyle Rose returned a kickoff and a punt for touchdowns. Jacab Juncker booted a field goal and 6 PATs.  Cam Card, Norman Manchester and Kyle Greaves played well on defense.
