Daily Announcements 10/11

Attention Juniors and Seniors. Representatives from Christopher Newport University, Salve Regina Universtity, Worcester State University, Stonehill College, Nichols College, Wentworth Institute of Technology, and Suffolk University will be visiting next week. Interested students may sign up in advance in the Guidance center. Sign-ups will not be allowed the day of the college visit.

With Halloween approaching fast, it is a good time to think about others! The Leo Club is asking you to donate gently used costumes to be given to those who need them. Costumes can be dropped off in Mr. DeMello's room, room 120 upstairs. Thank you! 

The Volleyball team would like to serve the community with a food drive! Please bring any nonperishable food items or toiletries to any October home volleyball game to be sent to the Rehoboth Food Pantry. The dates are October 14th, and 16th. Thank you for your support!

Any student interested in swimming on the D-R swim team this winter season should stop by the office to sign up for more information. No prior swim team experience is necessary.

Attention Best Buddies: Our kick-off party will be held next Wednesday from 6-8 pm in the cafeteria. Costumes are encouraged, but not required. This event is for best buddies members only. There is a sign up sheet for food in the guidance office.

The freshman football team defeated Old Rochester yesterday by a score of 20-6. An impressive defensive performance was led by Sean Perreira.  Sean Perreira also scored all three of D-R's touchdowns. The team's record is now 3-2-1. 

The South Coast Conference will be hosting a captain's/ leadership workshop on October 24th. This workshop is available on a first come first serve basis. Sign ups can be done in the main office. All paper work must be in before approval is given. 

Congratulations to Austin Burrows who was voted by out school community as Dighton Rehoboth's DAR good citizen. This honor was awarded to Austin because he demonstrates qualities of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism. Good luck to Austin as he continues in the competition against other students in our state and nation. 

Golf team members playing in today's match with Seekonk should be at Hillside no later than 2:00.
