Daily Announcements 10/17

Congratulations to the D-R math team for a fine showing yesterday at Bishop Feehan. Congratulations also to the high scorers: Senior- Lauren Farris, Case Framson, Alyssa Carlson. Juniors- Anthony St. John. Next practice will be Tuesday.

The girls volleyball team defeated Old Rochester last night in 5 sets. The team honored the seniors Rachel Ferrara, Jordan Lizotte, Kira Hitz, and Emma Perry. The team travels to Coyle Cassidy tomorrow.

Anyone interested in wrestling this winter, there will be an informational meeting in room 112 today after school. Anyone who cannot attend- see Mr. Lovejoy in the small cafe during any lunch.

The boys soccer team lost to Old Rochester last night 3-1. Chris Amaral scored the goal while Nate Swartz added the assist. Next game is home, tomorrow vs. Bishop Feehan. Practice will run from 2:30-4:30 today.

Attention seniors: the spirit week committee will be meeting today in room 217 after school. Please see Ms. D'Agostino with any questions.
 *Spirit week is right around the corner, if you are interested in submitting a design for the 2013 spirit week t-shirt, please see Mrs. Bacon in room 121 for information. Designs are due by next friday, October 25th and the student body will pick their favorite design.

The Girl's varsity soccer game vs. Bishop Feehan scheduled for tomorrow has been moved to next Friday, October 25th.

The Girl's J-V soccer team improved to 11-2-1 on the season with a 1-0 victory over Old Rochester. It was a great team effort and Sophia Szydlowski scored the game winner. Good job girls!

The Girls varsity soccer team defeated O-R yesterday by a score of 4-1. Zoe Karavlois scored three of the falcon's goals and Sam Rodrigues had one. Sam also finished finished the day with an assist. Emily Tibbels and Sarah Guimond each recorded assists. Sara Enos, Kate Day, Abby Bushell, Evie Rodrigues, Syvanna Caponigro all played well on defense. Mae Stebbings had another great game in goal making several key stops including a stop on a penalty shot. The Falcons play Seekonk on Monday. A win against Seekonk secures the SCC championship for the girls.
