Daily Announcements 10/2

Attention Juniors and Seniors: Representatives from  New England Institute of Technology, Boston University, Fitchburg State University, University of Rhode Island.  Westfield State University, UMass Dartmouth, and Johnson and Wales University will be visiting next week. Interested students may sign up in advance in the Guidance Center. Sign-ups will not be allowed the day of the college visits.

Next Thursday, October 3rd, will be the first meeting of the new Chess Club. All will be welcome to this informational, first meeting including teachers and students. No chess skills or knowledge are required and we will be happy to teach everyone. The meeting will be held in Mr. Loell's room, 311, after school and if you have any questions see Case Framson. Checkmate. 


A reminder to Leos: our meeting this week will be held on Thursday at 430 in room 120. See you then!
 

Interested in joining the school newspaper? Come to the first meeting of the Falcon Flyer this Thursday, October 3rd at 2:00pm in the English lab (room 313) All are welcome! 

There will be a yearbook committee meeting on Thursday, Oct. 3 in room 110 after school. All members are encouraged to attend.


Just a reminder to all prospective NHS members. If you receive a letter last week, you MUST attend a mandatory meeting after school in room 220. If you have any questions please see Ms. Payne or Mr. DeLano. 


Attenttion Best Buddies
There will be a mandatory training session on Tuesday, October 8th. You can either attend the after school session from 2-3:30 or the evening session from 6-7:30. Attention Students who are on the advisory committee to the School Committe you will meet with Mr. Medeiros tomorrow at 2PM in the Media Center. Please be prompt. 

Yesterday afternoon, the senior members of the National Honor Society convened in Room 220 to elect NHS officers. The Results are in! The offivers for the "13-14" school year are: Treasurer: Stefanie Dias, Secretary: Jenna Ziegelmeyer, VP: Connor Saleeba, and President: Case Framson. 

The boys soccer team hosts Case today at Bliss Fields. Come out and support the boys. 

There will be a brief meeting of the Portuguese Club tomorrow after school in room 122, all are welcomed. 

The final day to return DECA membership forms is this Friday, Obtober 4th. Again, All DECA forms must be submitted by the end of the day Friday, in order to compete in DECA this year. Return to Mr. Lentz in room 219.
