Swim Completes Successful Season with Victory over Randolph

The swim team completed a very successful season with dual victories for the boy’s and girls’ teams over Randolph High School.  First place finishers in individual girl’s events included Tayla Slater, Caitlyn O’Connor, Samantha Brown, Tara Dwyer, Meaghan O’Connell, and Caroline DeCoste.  Fist place finishes were also attained by relay teams consisting of O’Connor, DeCoste, O’Connell, and Slater.  Second place finishers in individual events went to Kira Hitz, Victoria Proulx, Molly Kimber, Kim Reilly, and Meaghan O’Connell.  The highlight of the meet was the establishment of a new school record in the girl’s 200 freestyle Relay Team, who smashed the previous record by 3 seconds.  Congratulations to the school record-holding relay team of Tara Dwyer, Caroline DeCoste, Samantha Brown, and Tayla Slater!

The boy’s swim team also beat Randolph by a score of 52 – 41.  First place finishes in individual events were attained by Bryan Tran, Cailin Hitz, Jon Eddy, and Cory Ross.  Second place finishers included Abe Ferreira, Cory Ross, and Ryan Johnson.  Good Luck and Best Wishes are extended to Tayla Slater and Bryan Tran as they prepare to compete in both the Sectional and State Meets.

Special Congratulations to and Best Wishes to departing Seniors Captain Kira Hitz, Hannah Steenhuysen, and Cody Dyl.


Next year the swim team looks forward to a season that has a great deal of promise that will be anchored by ten returning juniors and sixteen underclassmen.
