Daily Announcements 2/4

The Wrestling team went 0-3 this Saturday, falling to St. John's Prep, Durfee, and Braintree High Schools. 

The lone undefeated grappler on the day was Brandon Tran. The Falcon's host Silver Lake High School Wednesday in the large gym at 7pm - where we will be wearing our PINK "Wrestling for a cause" T-shirts in support of a cure for breast cancer.

Congratulations to Meghan Bury on her acceptance to Bridgewater State University.

Congratulations to Matt Haynes on his acceptance to Rhode Island College.

On March 2, The Gridiron Club of Greater Boston, will present Kyle Arieta with the Henry J. Smith Courage Award. The award is given annually to a football player who has overcome extreme adversity in order to play high school football.  In the spring of 2013, Kyle had a life-threatening brain tumor removed at Boston Children's Hospital. With the help of world-class medical care, devoted family support and a strong desire to return to the football team, Kyle was able to play his senior season at D-R.  Congratulations to Kyle on this remarkable accomplishment.

The DR Hockey team won against Norton 2-1.  Goals scored by Nick Soares and Curtis Letourneau.  Assists were from Kyle Blythe, Jon Duncan and Justin Silva.  Next game is Wednesday at 8:00 home against Apponequet.

Congratulations to Nicole Casey on her acceptance to Dean College and Lasell College.

Congratulations to Briana Simmons on her acceptance to Wheelock College.

Due to the inclement weather expected tomorrow, the National Honor Society Honor Bowl is postponed until Wednesday, March 5.
