Daily Announcements 5/12

The boys track team had an impressive showing at the Mass coaches state invitational this past Saturday. Top performances were led by Alden Foelsche, Jake Juncker, Ty Enos and Can Card. Kyle Rendon took second in the freshmen mile and the freshmen 4x100 team of Matt MacDonald, Cody Sanford, Dom Bertiume and Shawn Perreira took first place honors. The falcons host Wareham on Wednesday. 

A share of first place is at stake today when the baseball team plays first-place Old Rochester here @ DR @ 3:30 p.m.

GOOD NEWS DR! Nominations for student government positions has been extended until WEDNESDAY! It's a great opportunity to get involved so pick up a form on the bulletin board in the Rehoboth foyer. Please bring in your nomination forms to Ms. Beckett or Mr. Cooke.

Attention all current student government members: please check your email to submit the survey by the end of the day today. If you did not receive a survey in your email please see Ms. Beckett. There will also be a meeting on Friday and all members are expected to attend. 

Seven members of the Girls' Tennis team traveled to Mattapoisett on Saturday to participate in the Individual State Tournament.  Liza Sousa and Deanna Fleming fought a valiant fight before bowing to a Falmouth team 6-0, 6-3.  Likewise, the doubles tandem of Syvanna Caponigro and Jaime Fastino lost in straight sets as they had the misfortune of drawing the #1 seed, the 2013 state champs from Barnstable.  DR's #3 Kim Reilly battled Somerset's #2 before bowing 6-4, 6-0.  Emma Masse and Emily Fredette came up with two DR win in the first round, Emily winning a three setter 4-6, 6-2, 7-5 over a girl from Carver High School before succumbing to Bridgewater Raynam 6-1, 6-2.  Meanwhile Emma Masse defeated a Sacred Heart player 6-3, 6-1, before losing a face-off against the #4 seed Katie Vasconcellas of Bishop Stang in straight sets.  The girls represented the Falcons proudly and are looking to return next year.

Attention seniors: Last call for prom and senior supper tickets.  You may purchase tickets through tomorrow afternoon.  Please see Mrs. Bacon with any questions.

The final Drimprov show is this Thursday at 5 o'clock in the small cafeteria.  The show is free. Donations are welcome.

The dance club's Tuesday practice is cancelled.  Stay tuned for future meetings.


Jr. Powder Puff boys will meet today in Room 114 for practice.  If you can not attend please see Mrs O'Gara to let her know you are still interested.
