Daily Announcements 5/21

The Dighton Rehoboth Girls' Tennis Team completed their regular season with a turn-around 3-2 victory over Old Rochester yesterday.  Having lost by that score earlier in the season, the turn-around was started by a 6-0, 6-1 sweep at #3 singles by sophomore Kim Reilly, followed by a 6-4, 6-2 win at #1 doubles by the tandem of Jaime Fastino and Syvanna Caponigro.  A tough three set loss at two doubles, put the match on the shoulders of junior Emily Fredette.  Having lost the first set 6-2, she had to fight off a 1-4 deficit to come back and take a 7-5 second set. A third set lead was squandered, but Emily fought off the nerves and tiredness to edge out a 9-7 win in the third set tie breaker.  The 10 - 6 Lady Falcons now await their opponent to be named in the states. Please come out and support the softball team today as they host Coyle Cassidy on Senior Day. Game time is at 3:30.

A reminder to Portuguese Club members that there will be a meeting after school today to take the Yearbook picture and to discuss our last outing.  All are to attend.

The Boy's Tennis team lost a heart breaker yesterday to Old Rochest by the score of 3-2. The boy's  wins came on Tim Guimond 3 set victory and  Austin McEathrron's and Ryan Andrade's  2 set victory at first doubles. The boys finished the season with a 13-3 record and await  State Tournament play.

The Best Buddies powder puff football game will be played on Wednesday, June 4th at 6pm. Please see Mr. T, Mr. Garcia or Ms. Burnham if you have any questions.

Student Government would like to thank all who attended the Remembrance Walk and Outdoor Movie night. It was a fun night and we hope to see you all in the fall for our next show!
