The boys tack team won the SCC championship meet this past Friday for the fourth time in 7 years. Jake Juncker and TY Enos were the only first place individual finishes, while the team compiled 118 points with several second thru 6th places performances. Relay teams of Alex Goss, Kyle Cappiello, Ed Medeiros, and Curtis Letourneau took second in the 4x100 . Top relay honors went to the 4x400 and the 4x 800. They were Enos, Juncker, Isiah Ferreira,Vic DaCosta, Joe Marcille, Alden Foelsche, Kyle Rendon and Dean Bullock. Members of the Falcons will travel to Pembroke next Saturday to compete in the Division 3 championships.
Justin Walsh pitched a complete-game 6 hitter to lead the baseball team to a hard-fought, exciting 2-1 win @ Bishop Feehan on Saturday. Cory Farrelly's RBI single in the 6th inning gave the Falcons the lead. Ryan Murphy had 3 hits and Jake Salera added 2. The team finishes the regular season with a 16-4 record.
Reminder to Jazz Band members - rehearsals are today (Tues.) and tomorrow (Wed.) from 2-3.
The varsity softball team lost to Taunton on Friday night 2-1. Jordan Lizotte pitched a great game allowing only 6 hits. Kate Fournier had the only RBI driving in Catie Noons. Next game is the state tournament.
The girls spring track team finished 3rd at the SCC Conference Championships on Friday. Conference Champions included Julia Campezato in the Javelin, the 4x800 team of Aleigha Correia, Emily Cronan, Julia McCarthy and Caroline Thompson, and Mia Rogers as the dual champion in the 2 mile and the 800. Mia also was awarded track athlete of the meet. The girls compete at the class C meet this Saturday in Pembroke.
