Daily Announcements 5/9

In 2012 there were 49 million Americans in food insecure houses, including nearly 16 million children.  The numbers have only risen since then.  The D-R Leo Club, along with the Lions clubs of Dighton and Rehoboth are trying to do our part in reducing those numbers—and you can too.  There will be a coin drive at D-R to aid the hungry.  One bag of food we package can serve six people, and only costs $1.50.  With a single serving costing only 25 cents, every bit of change that you can spare will go a long way.  Look for the donation bins at lunch.  Thank you.

The softball team lost to Fairhaven yesterday 4-3. Becca Medeiros, Lauren Cappiello, Catie Noons, Lucy Maslen and Kelly Madigan each had 2 hits. Next game is at Old Rochester on Monday, May 12th. The JV softball team won yesterday 6-0 over Fairhaven.

The girls' tennis team was unable to secure its fourth win in a row this week at Fairhaven.  The Lady Falcons went down to defeat 4 - 1, with Meaghan O'Connell and Kelly Brown pulling out a third set tie breaker at two doubles.
