DR HIGH FIVE CLUB

Hannah Steenhuysen
Class of 14’

Hannah Steenhuysen is a high achieving senior who ranks in the top 10% of her graduating class. As a consequence of her academic achievements, she has been a member of the National Honor Society. Hannah has invested a significant portion of her high school experience to playing soccer, swimming, and competing in spring track. Unfortunately, Hannah suffered a serious concussion her junior year which greatly restricted her athletic participation thereafter. Yet, Hannah was able to overcome this adversity to succeed academically and has found new ways to get involved in the high school and to make a difference in the world. She participates actively in Best Buddies, serves on Stage Crew for the fall play and spring musical, and also works as a life guard and camp counselor at the Boys and Girls Club of Pawtucket.  After graduating from the high school, she will attend Calvin College and pursue a dual major in Chinese and nursing.
