Daily Announcements 1/5

Over the holiday break, the wrestling team had three dual meets and a tournament. They were beaten by Burlington and Malden Catholic, but took a victory over Saugus-Winthrop.Key wins were garnered by Capt. Tom Ranleyand freshman standout 220 pounder Willie Perera. This past Saturday, at the Westerly Rhode Island tournament-senior captain Christien Quevedo, senior captain Brandon Tran, and Willy Perreira all placed: third, third, and fourth respectively. Strong performances were also registered by Brody Dacus and Capt. Chris Tito. The falcon grapplers are back in action this Wednesday, when they host tri-county regional HS in the main gym at 7 PM. Come out, watch some wrestling-and show your support!

During vacation the boys' basketball team earned a hard-fought 68-54 win over New Bedford Vocational.  Adam Conlon and Nick Koneski had 19 points each while Cam Reed added 10.
The falcons also lost to Apponequet 59-36, Wareham 71-44, and Fairhaven 54-38.  Do not miss tomorrow night's home game v. first-place Old Rochester @ 6:30 p.m.

The D-R Swim Team had an impressive showing last Monday at the Middleboro Invitational. Highlights for the boys included a new school record set by the 200 Freestyle Relay team made up by Jeff Tran, Xavier Byrnes, Jon Eddy, and Bryan Tran. On Tuesday, the team faced off against Old Rochester with the D-R girls narrowly edging out OR to win their first meet 47 to 44. D-R swim hosts a tough Apponequet team tomorrow beginning at 3:30pm at the East Providence Boys & Girls Club pool. Come cheer on D-R!

Congratulations to Christien Quevedo on his acceptance to Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Rhode Island College, UMass Amherst, and UMass Dartmouth.  

There is an important Leo Club meeting on Tuesday at 2pm in room 120.  All members must attend or see Mr. DeMello.  See you there!

The girls' basketball team defeated Fairhaven Friday night 53-28. The team was lead by Julia Campezato with 20 points and Kylie D'Ambrosio with 12 points. The team plays tomorrow at Old Rochester

There will be a Math Team practice today, Monday January 5.  Next meet is Thursday.

Congratulations to Tara Dwyer on her acceptance to Simmons College and Quinnipiac University.  

Drama rehearsal is January 5th from 2-4.


There is no Drama rehearsal on January 6th. The next rehearsal is January 8th from 2-4.
