Daily Announcements 9/16

Student government will be holding elections for the fall. All freshmen positions are available and select upper class positions. Please pick up a nomination form on the bulletin board outside the main office. Any questions- please see Mr. Cooke or Ms. Beckett.

Representatives from Dean College, Lasell College, Curry College, UMass Dartmouth, Assumption College, Johnson & Wales Culinary, Mitchell College, Keene State College, and Salve Regina University will be visiting next week.  Interested students may sign up in advance in the Guidance Center.  Sign-ups will not be allowed the day of the college visit.

Drimprov try outs will be held in the Library Media Center from 4:30-5:30 this Thursday the 17th. All are welcome.

Latin lovers! Remember the Latin Club is having its first meeting this Thursday in room 127 with Mrs. Loell. Come by and see what those ancient Romans have in store for this year!
Oooo la la! The French Club will be having their first meeting next Thursday, September 24! We plan to have French cookies and plan our first outing to a French restaurant! Everyone is welcome!!! If you are interested, please see Madame Loell in room 127 and plan to sample some French cuisine next Thursday!

The last day to turn in forms for The International Thespian Society is Thursday, September 17. See Mrs. LaSalle with any questions.

The Latin Club would like to announce the officers for this school year! The triumvirate is made up of Kelsey Hastings, Emma Masse, and Ethan Smith, secretary Toni Scott and treasurer Alana Scialo! Congratulations!

Ms. Yeager's period 3 class today will be going to 4th lunch.  Please report to class first.
"The girls cross country team started the season with two wins over Apponequet and Case yesterday. Hannah Saleeba, Emily Parker and Cassidy Vincent finished in second through fourth places against both teams to secure the victory.

The boys cross country team also won both races, including one over a solid Apponequet squad. Kyle Rendon won the race for DR, followed in 2nd place by teammate Hans Foelsche. The short handed Falcon boys look to validate our #9 state ranking against Old Rochester at home next Tuesday.

There will be an Organizational meeting for all interested in joining the Portuguese Club. The meeting will be next Thursday, September 24th after school in room 122.
Congratulations to the newly elected National Honor Society officers.  The members voted yesterday and the results are in!

Attention all returning Yearbook Members: There will be a brief meeting on Monday, September 21st immediately after school in Room 113, Ms. King's room.  We will discuss the upcoming activities fair.
