Daily Announcements 2/23

Attention Best Buddies- We will be having a poster party this Thursday to prepare for next week's Spread the Word day. This is a mandatory event. Please report to the media center at 2pm.

Attention French and Latin Clubs! We are going skating on Thursday! See Mrs. Loell for details!

On x2, students may now view their teacher recommendations and select Electives. Students are expected to select their electives this week. For directions, please check the school blog. Guidance counselors will be meeting with students in March.

Lip Sync Sign ups have been extended until Wednesday, please bring your forms to Ms. Beckett in Room 108.

The annual Blood Drive will be held on Friday, March 4th.  Registration forms are available in the main office and all students must have a form signed in order to participate. Starting tomorrow you can sign up for a time slot at all lunches. Any questions, please see Mr. Cooke or Ms. Beckett.

A reminder to all Leos, our meeting this week is on Tuesday the 23rd at 2 pm. See you there!

Congratulations to Jacquelyn Amaral on her acceptance to Johnson & Wales University.  YAHOO!!

Anyone interested in trying out for the girls tennis team this spring should sign up in the office as soon as possible.

Attention 10 grade students...Please bring your eye glasses this week for hearing and vision screening tests.

Whether you’re planning on joining the military, attending college, a technical school, or you’re just not sure yet, the ASVAB Career Exploration Program can provide you with important information about your skills, abilities and interests –and it can help put you on the right course for a satisfying career. Please see your counselor  for more information or sign up today in the Guidance office.  The test is in March so don't delay!

The DR Ski Club is hitting that fresh pow pow AND/OR shredding the gnar gnar at Ragged Mountain on Sunday, March 6th. See Mr. Demers in room 130 to reserve your VIP bus seat and lift ticket by this Thursday.

ATTENTION SENIORS:  A representative from Bay State College will be at D-R on Tuesday, March 15th for an On-the-Spot Decision Day.  If you are interested in attending Bay State College, please pick up an application in the Guidance office this week.  Applications must be signed by a parent, and the application fee will be waived.  Appointment times are limited, so please sign up as soon as possible.

 Congratulations to wrestling captains Chris Tito and Tom Ranley on their performance over the February break at the division three South state qualifying tournament.  Chris Tito placed fifth at the 170 pound weight class, and Tom Ranley placed second at the 126 pound weight class. 
 Tom Ranley also went on to place 6th  out of all of the Division III schools in the state-and is headed for the Allstate tournament this coming weekend. Good luck Tom!
