Students in the Classroom

Today in Ms. Saxon's Physics class students were using springs to simulate waves. Using the springs they created waves with different modes. They counted the number of oscillations in a given time period. From that they calculated the period, frequency of the waves, wavelength, and speed of the wave. They were able to physically observe the relationship between the frequency and wavelength  (higher frequency = smaller wavelength ).
