There will be a brief meeting on Wednesday, November 30th for Portuguese Club members who signed up for the open house. The meeting will be in room 122 after school.
Falcon Flyer (student newspaper) will meet on Thursday, December 1st, from 2-3 in Room 313, the English Lab. New members always welcome!
Winter is coming... The DR Ski Club will meet after school on Friday in the Media Center to plan our first ski trip... Beginners welcome.

The Latin Club is going to Brown University's Lessons and Carols! We will leave DR at 4:30 on Monday, December 5th, shop and eat on Thayer Street, then go to the performance of Lessons and Carols. See Mrs. Loell to sign up for the van and get details.
It's coming! The talents, the sports, the dancing - it's Mr.DR! This Friday at 6:30 join us for a night of fun while we crown the next Mr. DR. Tickets will be sold Tuesday-Friday during lunches! You don't want to miss this!

The Class of 2020 will be collecting class dues from Tuesday to Friday this week. This year's dues are $15. See your class reps at lunch to submit payment.

The Varsity Football Team lost to Seekonk on Thanksgiving 34-28 in overtime. Leroy Araujo tossed two TD passes, one to Dylan Souza and the other to Tanner Costa. Shawn Pereira ran 58 yards for a TD and Shawn Walsh ran 20 yards for a score. Ashton Marshall booted 4 PATS. The team would like to thank the D-R community for the great support they received all year.

This week we had a short week and it is still not yet completed, since we are hosting over nearly 500 students tonight for our annual Homecoming Dance. Spirit Week concluded today with the Class of 2017 claiming victory! We hope everyone has a safe and Happy Thanksgiving holiday.
Perfect MCAS Scores:
On Tuesday, November 8th, Superintendent Dr. Azar and the School Committee recognized students from all 5 schools who scored perfect on the 2016 MCAS tests. Congratulations to Emily Greenberg, Emily Reid (2), Lindsey Silvia, and Megan Kelley on scoring a 280 on their MCAS test. #DRPride
In the Classroom:
Foundations of Biology II students made models of viruses with nuts bolts and wires. They explored the structure and characteristics of viruses.
Portuguese 1 Activity: What a wonderful activity! Portuguese 1 students were engaged learning numbers and colors by counting m & m's and making a graph.
DR Trail Update:
- Anyone who is interested in volunteering to help complete the DR Trail, please contact Noah Avila at firstname.lastname@example.org. Details are listed below.
- When: From 9:00 AM-4:00 PM on November 23rd, 26th and 27th they will be working on the Trail at the high school.
- Where: They will be meeting at the far left corner of the Senior lot located across from the Rehoboth entrance.
- What to Bring: Noah recommends that you bring work gloves, a rain jacket (Just in case), work/hiking boots, a water bottle, and a wheelbarrow and shovel if you have them.
- What to Expect: Volunteers will be helping bring gravel down the trail in an effort to level and create a better trailhead, if time permits we will start laying mulch on the trail. Wheelbarrows are essential.
- Snacks and Lunch: Around 12:00 pm-12:15 pm
- They will be serving pizza for the volunteers. Aside that, water and light snacks will be available all day.

Speech and Debate Team:
The Speech and Debate team attended their first all Debate tournament in many years this past Saturday at Lexington High School. Both Magdahlen Prophitt and Patrick O'malley competed in Novice Lincoln Douglas. Magdahlen won 2 out of her 4 rounds. Congratulations to both Magdahlen and Patrick for setting a precedent for DR's Speech and Debate team and for representing DR so well!
