Attention Peer Leaders - don't forget to bring your collection box for unicef to your trick or treating festivities tonight! Please return your collections to Ms. Harwood in room 307.



The Speech and Debate Team hosted a successful tournament for 16 area schools and over 350 competitors, judges, and coaches this past Saturday. The team wishes to thank the DR Community for their support and cooperation.

The Team wants to congratulate our team's winners:


Magdalena Prophitt- 1st place Group Discussion
Elijah Houghton- 1st place Radio Broadcasting
Madison Burtan - 5th place Play Reading
In team Improvisation - 

Sierra Candeias and Sam Stone took 6th place and Jill Henrique and Jarrett Cordeiro -7th place.

Overall the team took 5th place in small school division.  Go DR Speech and Debate!



Congratulations to the Varsity Cheerleaders on winning second place in the South Sectionals Cheerleading Competition. Good luck at Regionals ladies!



Attention all students! 

It's almost that time of year again. Spirit Week is just around the corner. Order forms for t-shirts are being handed out first period. If you'd like to order a shirt, please return the form and payment to the senior class officers during lunch, or see Mr. Boisvert in room 503 before or after school. Last day to order will be this Friday. Don't miss out on this one of a kind item!

Reminder that there is a Mock Trial Practice on, Tuesday, November 1st from 6pm-8pm in the Media Center. Please be sure to attend as the new case will be handed out.  


DRAcapella will meet this Wednesday after school in Room 132 until 3. See Mrs. de Aguiar with any questions.

Attention members of GSA. There will be a meeting after school on Wednesday, November 2nd in room 505. If you can't make it, please see Alyssa, Juliana, or Ms. Burnham.




 Attention Students interested in going to Spain and Portugal in April. There are still spots open if you wish to go on the trip, but you must sign up by next week. If you have any questions about the trip or how to register please see Mrs. DeAguiar or Mr. Augusto in the Foreign Language wing.





 

The boys cross country team tied for 2nd place at the SCC championship meet on Saturday. Kyle Rendon won the race for DR, clocking a time of 16:57 for 5k at the challenging Wrentham course. Also taking SCC all-star honors with Kyle was Dean Bullock, who finished in seventh. 

The girls team placed 4th at the SCC’s. All star Emily Parker, freshman Kristin Murphy, Jessica Sylaj, and Cassidy Vincent led the team’s best performance of the season as both boys and girls look to build on their successes at the Eastern Mass. divisional meet on November 12. 


On Friday night, the varsity football team defeated Old Rochester 27-0 in the first round of the State Division 3 playoffs. Chris Wheaton started the scoring with a 75 yard interception return for a touchdown and Ashton Marshall booted the PAT. Steve Silvia scored on a QB sneak after Tanner Costa run 35 yards on a quick screen down to the one. Shawn Pereira scored on a 15 yard run and Chase Carroll scored on a 5 yard run. Dylan Souza caught a two point conversion from Steve Silvia. The outstanding defense that caused 6 turnovers, was lead by Noah Morris, Dallas Noons, Drew LeBlanc, Shaw Walsh, Mason Cadorette and Steve Silvia. The team travels to Holliston on Friday night to play the two-time Super Bowl defending Champs, at 7 PM.

The girls varsity soccer team defeated Old-Rochester on Saturday by a score of 1-0. Sarah Guimond scored for the falcons. The girls play thier final regular season game at home today celebrating senior day!! Come out and support your falcons!!!

The boy's soccer team defeated Somerset/Berkley on Friday 1-0. Ryan Paulhus netted the game winner assisted from Will Taylor. The team qualified for the Division 2 South soccer tournament. Next game is at Old Rochester today.

Congratulations to Joel Papp and Dominic Berthiaume on making ALL-SCC. Jason Berube and Noah Munroe made Honorable Mention ALL-SCC.

The boy's soccer team hosts Somerset/Berkley today at 3:30. Please come out and support the team on Senior Day.


The Varsity Cheerleaders will be competing this Sunday at DR on Sunday at 12:30. Please come out and support your cheerleaders! Good luck girls! 





Laugh it up, people. Drimprov will perform from 6 to 7:30 in the Media Center on Thursday November 3rd. The show is free.

Daily Announcements



There is no Student Government meeting this week, but please sign up for activities on Ms. Beckett's door.

The meeting for Dance club, after school today is cancelled. 








Falcon Flyer, D-R's student newspaper, will meet this Thursday, 10/27, from 2-3 in Media 2. New members always welcome!

Congratulations to the DR Math Team for a fine effort at Bishop Feehan on Wednesday. Special congratulations to Emily Greenburg who was one of the high scoring juniors at the meet. Next practice is Monday October 31.

Interested in going to Boston for the day to experience the Freedom Trail, Faneuil Hall, and Quincy market with history, food and shopping? Sign up on Ms. Beckett's door in room 108 before November 1st to secure your seat on the bus for $15!  





There will be varsity boy's soccer practice only from 2:00-3:30 in the main gym. Cookies may be picked up after school in the gym. Last home game is tomorrow vs. Somerset/Berkley at 3:30. Please come out and support the team on Senior Day. 



Let's Recap
The Golf Team's magical season continued yesterday when it earned a trip to the Division II State Finals with a third place finish at the Division II South tournament. SCC All Stars Sam Taraian and Blake Cox led the team with excellent rounds of 76, which also qualified them to play in the State Individual tournament. Senior co-captain and SCC Honorable mention Mitch Brown turned in a round of 80, while SCC All Star Adam Housley and SCC Honorable Mention Jack Chrystie completed the scoring for DR with 81's.
