DR Swim Team News

The DR Falcons Swim Team had their last Home meet last week against Apponequet. A well - fought contest for both teams- however Apponequet's superior numbers ultimately tipped the scales in the Lakers favor.
The Falcons recognized lone senior Kaitlyn O'Connor, as well as the Apponequet Seniors, in a pre- meet ceremony.
Kaitlyn is a phenomenally talented swimmer and mentor to her teammates.
She will be greatly missed by all.
The Falcons Girls Team participated in the Bay Veiw Invitational Meet, held at Brown University, yesterday.
Olympic medalist Elizabeth Beisel was on hand to distribute the awards. But, more importantly , Junior Megan Alves finished 13th overall and qualifying time for the 50 yard Freestyle event at the MIAA Sectional Championships being held at MIT on Febuary 11 and 12. Great job, Megan!!
