SPOTLIGHT ON CTE: Teacher Excellence Recognized

In order to keep our students in Career and Technical Education engaged and meet the demands of each MA DESE Vocational Framework, our teachers have to be creative, innovative, and enthusiastic! This week the Dighton-Rehoboth High School CTE Department wishes to share two recent acknowledgements bestowed upon our staff.

Mrs. Tabitha Yeager, from our Environmental Technology & Sustainability pathway is presenting at the Green Schools Conference in Atlanta, Georgia this week. Recognized for her curriculum development in sustainability and LEED certification, Mrs. Yeager will proudly represent D-R on the national conference stage.

In our Automotive Technology pathway, Mr. Eric Perry is 1 of 4 recipients of the Massachusetts Vocational Association Southeast Chapter "Outstanding New Teacher" for the 2016-2017 school year. Mr. Perry is the only comprehensive school teacher to receive this award, and will attend a dinner at Greater New Bedford in April. All vocational technical schools and comprehensive high schools in the Southeast Region were eligible for the award, and we are certainly proud of the deserved recognition that Mr. Perry is receiving!
