DR Leo Club Salutes MLK

The Dighton Rehoboth Leo Club volunteered at the Martin Luther King GIFT TO GIVE as part of the MLK Day of Service.  
It is these types of heartfelt events that makes our school and community, a better place to live.
 Never forgetting what's truly important.

DR Swim Team

32nd Annual Bay View Invitational was held at Brown University today.  The DR Girls swim team had a great day. Senior Megan Alves was recognized and she also qualified for State Sectionals in the 50 yard Freestyle with a time of 26.75 seconds.

DR DECA Awards!!

I would like to congratulate the following DECA members on qualifying for states today in their respective business categories. The MA DECA District 2 competition was held yesterday and today at the Mansfield Holiday Inn, and featured 750 students from 14 schools. Most notably, two teams took 1st place overall along with a runner-up performance.

The DECA State Career Development Conference will be held at the Boston Marriott Copley from March 8th-10th, where the 15 students above will compete with hopes of advancing to nationals in Atlanta.

Soup Kitchen


Anyone interested in volunteering to work at this year’s soup kitchen which will be held at the First Baptist Church in Fall River on Tuesday January 30st , may sign up in room 115. You will be required to have a signed parent permission form which you may obtain when you sign up. See Mr. Moura if you have any questions

SENIOR CAP & GOWNS

Seniors:  you may now come to the office any day to pay for your cap and gown.  The cost is $21.00 and you do get to keep it.  If you have paid your class dues all 4 years then you do not need to pay for your cap and gown.  Please see Mrs. Stahowiak in the office.

The DR Swim Team is holding its annual Super Bowl Sub Sale!
This fundraiser runs from now until February 2.
There are four sandwich options :Turkey, Tuna, Italian,Veggie.
Each sandwich is $5.00.
They will be delivered to Dighton and Rehoboth addresses on Super Bowl Sunday (February 4).
Each sandwich is handmade with fresh ingredients on Calise Bakery sub rolls by DR Swimmer/Sandwich Artists.  

CONGRATULATIONS

All were chosen to participate on the district level by competitive audition AND all three received All-State recommendations, so they will be moving on to the state level audition on January 20th.  If accepted to All-State, they will perform at Symphony Hall in March. Only the top 50% of students accepted at the district level are chosen for the all-state audition.

Our parking lots  and sidewalks are literally down to the pavement.

DR Soars at District Band and Choral Festival

Congratulations  to Molly Torres, Charlie Pike, and Chris Hoskins who represented DR in the Southeast District Festival Concert this weekend at Bourne HS. Molly and Chris performed with the Chorus; Charlie performed with the Band. All were chosen to participate on the district level by competitive audition AND all three received All-State recommendations, so they will be moving on to the state level audition Jan. 20. If accepted to All-State, they will perform at Symphony Hall in March. Only the top 50% of students accepted at the district level are chosen for the all-state audition. 
So let's give them a congrats and good luck for the next round!

DR basketball correction

Dear DR basketball Families. UPDATE!  Apponquet HS is not available due to icing at thier school for tomorrow. 
I will shoot out a rescheduled time and date as soon as I confirm. 
This effects both boys and girls games. 
*DRHS gym is fine, but for coordination sake we will move games together.

DR Winter Ball Info!!

Winter Ball tickets will be sold before and after school in the cafeteria through January 12th. This year's Winter Ball will take place on February 2nd at the Holiday Inn in Taunton. The cost per ticket is $25.  Please note: Guest tickets will NOT be sold without a guest contract completed in full. No exceptions. Please see Mrs. Hopkins in room 217 with any questions.
