MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS 9/25/18



Any Sophomore or Junior who is interested in taking the PSAT/ NMSQT exam on Saturday, October 13, 2018 here at the high school, please see Ms. Shillan in guidance. There are 80 spots left. The cost is $25 cash only, non-refundable. Sign up will sheets are still available. They are filled on a first come, first serve basis.


 Attention Juniors and Seniors: Representatives from University of Connecticut, Westfield State University, University of Rhode Island, Wentworth Institute of Technology, and Bridgewater State University will be visiting next week. Interested students may sign up in advance in the Guidance Center.


Listen up all returning DECA (de ka) members, there will be a brief meeting, Thursday 9/27 after school at 2 pm in the Media Center 2 Computer Lab. Mr. Cowgill will go over club officer elections this year's competitions, membership and fundraiser information. A full DECA meeting will be held next week, Tuesday, Oct 2nd after school in Media Lab 2. All new and returning members are encouraged to attend Tuesday's meeting on October 2nd. New Officers will be elected and membership documents will be issued. If you cannot attend a meeting, please contact Mr. Cowgill in the Media Center or via email.



SPORTS UPDATES:


Image result for footballThe jv football team raised their record to 2-1 when they beat Somerset Berkeley 29-14. Marcus Moss Aiden Botelho and Jaren Ramos scored touchdowns for the Falcons. Alec Biledeau and Jairus Hardmon played well on defense.

The freshmen football team tied Somerset Berkely this past Friday 26-26. Playing well the Falcons was Adam Pereira Cam Karrit Jayden Lafleur and Caleb Newman played well defensively. On offense Shane Medeiros Dario St James and Reily Medeiros each scored touchdowns

The Falcons host ORR this Thursday.









Image result for footballThe girls varsity soccer team defeated Greater New Bedford Voc. yesterday by a score of 5 - 2. Emily D'Ambrossio netted two goals, while Anna DeGirolamo, Hannah Jordan and Emerson Maccarone each netted one. Meghan Reed made 6 saves in net. The girls take on undefeated Old Rochester Regional tomorrow at home in a crucial SCC match.


The boy's soccer team lost to Greater New Bedford yesterday 3-0. The JV team won 3-2. The team travels to Old Rochester tomorrow.
