DR Football

Hey Falcons!!
The DR vs Plymouth South football game has been moved to Saturday at 4PM.  Come support your team.

Daily Announcements 10-31-18

There will be an afterschool meeting for the yearbook committee on Monday, 11/5 in guidance. If you cannot attend, please see Mrs. Tremblett.

 Any student who is interested in helping out with 8th grade Open House as scheduled for 12/6/18, please see Dr. Tench before Friday, November 9 to sign up.

Any student who is taking the SAT exam on Saturday, November 3, please make sure to have your photo ID, admissions ticket, a calculator, and sharped number 2 pencils. Good luck!

Today is the last day for any girls interested in playing lacrosse in the spring to sign up with Coach Smith or Coach Vaughn. Please be sure to get your sign-up form in by the end of the school day.


 Anyone interested in playing varsity, JV, or freshman basketball should report to an organizational meeting in room 115 today at 2 p.m.

Junior Adam Housley finished 15th out of 28 players in yesterday's Division II State Individual Tournament.

Daily Announcements 10-30-18

Mock Trial Team will have their next meeting Wednesday, Nov. 7, at 6 pm in room 121. Please see Mrs. Loell with any questions. See you all next Wednesday! Have a fun Halloween!

Tickets are on sale now for the Theater Company's production of Metamorphoses. This show portrays several greek myths. The graduating class that buys the most tickets will earn 100 spirit week points. For this week only student tickets can be purchased for $5.00 at lunch. After this week the price is $10.00.

Attention Leo Club, there will be a meeting after school Wednesday. Please make every effort to attend

Best Buddies is holding a fundraiser tonight at the Panera bread in Seekonk from 4 to 8 p.m. You can pick up a flyer for the fundraiser in guidance or Ms. Burnham's classroom, room 505.


Attention Girls' Volleyball players. Uniforms will be collected Thursday after school in the gym.

 The Unified Basketball Team finished with a tie versus Somerset/Berkley during yesterday's game. It was another great team effort. The Team will take on rival Seekonk this Thursday at Seekonk.

The boy's soccer team lost to Bishop Feehan 2-0. The team is waiting for their tournament seed which will come out tomorrow. The JV team won 4-0 over Bishop Feehan. Practice will run until 4:00 today.

DR Lacrosse Meeting

Anyone interested in playing Boys Lacrosse this year,  there will be an informational meeting on Tuesday 11/6 at 6:30 in the auditorium with Coach Dyson.

The varsity football team beat Pembroke in the South sectional quarter final last Friday night 52-6.. Touchdowns were scored by Owen Arden Joe Carrera and Reis Foley Dylan Iodice converted on all 8 P.A.Ts and kicked a 35 yard field goal Defensively Arden took an interception back for a touchdown, JAren Ramos also had an interception. Blake Kerwin Mason Cadorette Chase Carroll and Matt Moura played well defensively.

The Falcons will host round 2 of the Division 4 South Sectionals next Friday Night when they take on Plymouth South

The Unified Basketball Team played valiantly in an overtime defeat to Dartmouth High School yesterday.  There was a strong effort by the entire team.

Please come support the Unified Team for their home game versus Somerset/Berkley today at 3:30 p.m.

The boy's soccer team defeated Case on Friday, 4-0. Peter Day, Logan Pimentel, Jared Correia and Cameron Leblanc scored the goals. The team hosts Bishop Feehan today at 4:00.

There is a very important student government meeting Tuesday afterschool. If you cannot attend see Ms. Beckett.

MIAA Football Playoff Game Tonight

Please be advised that tonight's sanctioned MIAA football playoff game against Pembroke HS will be held at 7PM.  
*MIAA sets ticket prices and are $5 for students and Seniors and $7 for adults.

Daily Announcements 10-26-18

Signups are still going on for the Falcon 5k Remembrance walk/run, if you requested a tshirt size please be sure to bring in your money/forms to Ms. Beckett as soon as possible.

Sophomores: next week we will begin the hearing and vision screenings. Please bring your glasses and wear your contacts. We will be calling the students down in alphabetical order.

There will be a full Portuguese Club meeting on Monday October 29th after school in room 122. Our outing to Taunton Eagles will be discussed.

Attention Juniors and Seniors: Representatives from Curry College, Quinnipiac University, Western New England University, United States Marines, Framingham State University, Fisher College, Savannah College of Art and Design, and Nichols College will be visiting next week. Interested students may sign up in advance in the Guidance Center. Sign-ups will not be allowed the day of the college visit.


The Pre Season Girls Basketball sign up meeting for Monday has been postponed. Another date will be announced soon. Thank you

The JV girls soccer team beat Fairhaven by a score of 4-0 on Monday to finish their season undefeated. Sam Malloy, Lexie Menezes, Sophie Murdock, & Quincey Munson all scored for the Lady Falcons while Lauren Nelson and Kylie Palmer played great controlling the midfield. Great job on an excellent season ladies!

The freshmen football team had an impressive win yesterday over Dartmouth 34-26. Doriao St James and Cam Karritt Hendrix Pray had impressive games behind the blocking of Adam Pereira and Jake Botelho.  The freshmen travel to ORR next Thursday

The girls varsity soccer team completed their final regular season game yesterday with a 2-0 win over Bourne. Anna DeGirolamo and Caitlin Morgado each netted goals for the falcons. The defensive line of Sadie Pratt, Ashley Damon, Brenna Doehler and Bella LaBree held Bourne to only 3 shots on the day. Goalkeeper Meghan Reed recorded her eighth shutout of the season. The girls qualified for State Tournament play and will find out thier seeding next Wednesday.

The boy's soccer team hosts Case today at 3:45. There will be no JV practice today. All JV players should plan on attending the varsity game.

Daily Announcements 10-25-18

The volleyball team concludes it season tonight at home vs. Seekonk. The JV game begins at 4pm with the varsity game and senior night festivities immediately after the JV game. Freshman volleyball team members need to be back to the school no later than 3:45 today

The girls varsity soccer team defeated Fairhaven yesterday by a score of 5-0. Freshman Julia Tavares scored her first two varsity goals of her career, while Freshman Carleigh Hall also netted two goals and had an assist. Jillian Hughes also had a goal. Meaghan Reed recorded her 7th shut out of the season. The girls take on Bourne today in the South Coast Conference crossover playoff game here at 3:45.

Any girl interested in trying out for the girls lacrosse team this spring needs to get their sign up forms in to Coach Smith in 503 or Coach Vaughn in 514 by Wednesday October 31st.

Band Trunk or Treat

Tomorrow night the DR Band Trunk or Treat is a closed event. 
It is Only open to Marching band families and Best Buddies   . But the DR Marching Band still wishes everyone a safe and Happy Halloween. 👻👽👽👻💀💀👻👻

Daily Announcements 10-24-18

There is a mandatory DECA meeting Thursday after school in the Media Center at 2pm. Membership forms, fees, and event categories are all due. Please see Mr. Cowgill if you are not able to attend. Important deadlines are nearing and you don't want to be left out. Meeting will be brief!!

Students: if your parents ordered school pictures please come to the office to pick them up.

Tomorrow night the DR marching Band will be hosting their Annual Trunk or Treat! At 8PM in the faculty parking lot. Everyone is invited.

Bonjour!!!! The French Club is having an introductory meeting Wednesday, Oct. 31, after school in room 121 with Madame Loell. If you would like to learn some French, taste French cuisine, and learn about French culture, please come join French Club. Merci et a bientot!


The JV girls soccer team defeated New Bedford 5-0 yesterday in their final home game. Quincey Munson scored a hat trick while Alyson Rego scored and Liz Eden had a goal and an assist. The girls will try to finish off their season undefeated with a road game against Fairhaven today. Good luck ladies!

The girls varsity soccer team defeated New Bedford yesterday by a score of 1 - 0. Sophomore Angel Correia scored on a beautiful volley from a Brooke Kelly cross. Olivia DaSilva also assisted on the play. The girls travel to Fairhaven for a 3:45 match.

The Golf Team finished 10th out of 14 teams in yesterday's Division II South sectional qualifying tournament. Junior Adam Housley continued his excellent play. Adam's round of 78 qualified him to play in next week's State Individual Tournament. Senior Max Kimber concluded his high school golf career in a big way, as he turned in a personal best score of 82. Junior Harry Taraian performed well and recorded a round of 86.

Daily Announcements 10-23-18

Attention Students: Do you love animals? A new club called Project Hope will hold its first meeting Monday October 29 in room 105 at 2pm. The fall project the club will be focusing on is the Dighton and Rehoboth Animal Shelters. We will be collecting food, treats, toys and blankets for the animal shelter. Please come to the meeting to learn more. If you cant make the meeting and still want to participate please see either Mrs. Donahue in Guidance or Ms. Pimento in room 105.

Elections of officers for the International Thespian Society will take place on October 24 at 2:00 in the auditorium. If you have any questions see Ms. LaSalle.

There will be NO Pro Musica rehearsal today - practice will be for Treble Choir only.

The Dungeons and Dragons club will meet today, Tuesday October 23rd, and tomorrow, Wednesday October 24th in room 301. You only need to attend 1 of the meetings, however you may attend both if you wish. Contact Ms. Carroll for more details.

There will be NO Jazz Band rehearsal today.

Attn: pictures are in and you will be able to get them during all lunches. A table will be set up outside of the cafeteria.

The boy's soccer team lost to Bourne 1-0. They will travel to Bourne on Thursday for their crossover game. JV won 7-0.

Attention Juniors and Seniors: Representatives from Fitchburg State University, Dean College, and Becker College will be visiting next week. Interested students may sign up in advance in the Guidance Center. Sign-ups will not be allowed by the day of the college visit.

ALL NHS inductee portfolios are due to Mr. Pacheco in room 111 by 2pm today.

The driver education classes have beeen pushed back one week and will start next Tuesday, October 30th. If you still need to sign up please come to the office.


There will be a pre-season meeting for anyone interested in trying out for the girls basketball program on Monday, October 29th @ 2:15 in room 212.

Congratulations to Avery Thomas and Molly Walsh for placing 13th and 20th, respectively at the state freshman cross country meet in Falmouth, earning medalist honors. In the boys freshman race, Jake Rebello also medaled, earning 14th place in the state.

The freshmen football team defeated Somerset Berkley yesterday 44-0 Brady walsh Hendriz Pray and Caleb Newman led the way for the Falcons

The varsity football team defeated Seekonk last Friday night 45-13 Chase Carroll Joe Carrera found the end zone twice while Reis Foley and Owen Arden each scored 1 touchdown a piece. Dylan Iodice connected on 6 P.A.Ts and hit a 41 yard field goal Playing well defensively was Mason Cadorette Jake Enos and Jaren Ramos. Owen Arden and Ray Zinconne registered and interception to help hold the Warriors to 13 points.  The Falcons earned the number 1 seed in the MIAA DIV 4 south state tournament and will host Pembroke this Friday night.

Help support the Unified Basketball Team by attending their home games this Wednesday, Oct. 24 versus Durfee High School at 3:15 p.m. in the gym and Monday, October 29 at 3:30 p.m. versus Somerset-Berkley.

The girls varsity soccer team defeated Seekonk on Friday by a score of 2-1. Julianna DaCosta scored both goals for the Falcons. The team also played on Saturday against Old Rochester where they suffered a 5-2 loss. Jillian Hughes stepped up offensively and netted both of the Falcons goals. The team hosts New Bedford high school tomorrow for senior day.... come out and support your falcons.

The boy's soccer team lost to Seekonk on Friday 4-1. Logan Pimentel scored the goal. The JV team won 7-0. The team travels to Bourne today.

The boy's soccer team had their annual community service project Friday night at the South Seekonk Rod and Gun Club. The team works a clamboil for Pride Incorporated from Taunton. Pride Incorporated is a piecework facility for Intellectually Handicapped adults. Great job to the team.

 The Golf Team concluded its regular season with a 12-4 record after defeating Fairhaven by a 113 to 62 score on Friday. Adam Housley (36 points) and Max Kimber (23points) led the team.
