Daily Announcements 9-16-19

Friends, Romans, Countrymen, and students; lend me your ears! It's time for all those who love ancient Rome and the Latin language to sign up for Latin Club!! Please come by room 124, Mrs. Loell's room, and sign up! We will be having our first meeting the week of the 23rd! Don't miss out on Latin Club fun!

OOOOOO la la! The French Club wants to share the language of love with interested students at French Club! Please stop by Mrs. Loell's room 124 to sign up. We will be visiting French restaurants, watching French movies, and eating French pastries. Sounds parfait!

Are you interested in law? Do you like making a good case for your actions, or pretending your are an expert on crime? If so, you should sign up for the Mock Trial Team in Mrs. Loell's room, 124. The Mock Trial Team goes to competitions that are set up exactly like a court case and we need lawyers, actors, and good argument writers to win our case!

 Attention Juniors and Seniors: Representatives from Plymouth State University, Masachusetts College of Liberal Arts, Southern New Hampshire University, Assumption College, University of Hartford, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Springfield College, and Regis College will be visiting next week. Interested students may sign up in advance in the Guidance Center. Sign-ups will not be allowed the day of the college visit.

Attention Leo Club, our first meeting of the year will be this Wednesday after school in room 111.

 The girls varsity soccer team defeated Wareham on Friday by a score of 6 - 0. Caitlin Morgado netted three goals, while Julia Tavares, Angel Correia, and Margaret Saxon each netted one. Meghan Reed recorded her third straight shut out in net. The girls take on Somerset Berkley in a crucial SCC match today.

 The Football team lost to Plymouth South this past Friday 14-3 Adam Pereira connected on a 41 yard field goal, while Jaren Ramos led the team in rushing yards. Defensively Wes McQuillan and Caleb Newman played well. The Falcons have a bye weekend and travel to Somerset Berkley on the 28th

 Auditions for the fall play will take place on September 18 at 2:00 in the auditorium. This year the show is Almost Maine. See Mrs. LaSalle in room 303 to sign up. Or sign up on the Theatre Company Google Classroom site.

 Any student interested in joining the yearbook club and helping to create the 2020 yearbook, please attend our first yearbook meeting, Monday, September 16th after school in guidance. Please see Mrs. Tremblett with any questions.

 Best Buddies will be holding its first event Tuesday, September 17th after school in cafeteria from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. We will launching the school year with bottle rockets. Students should bring a empty, 2-liter soda bottle and some duct tape. Please see Ms. Burnham or Mr. Garcia if you have any questions.

Attention National Honor Society Induction Candidates, there will be a mandatory meeting Tuesday September 17th after school in the cafeteria to discuss the portfolio process. If you have any questions please see Mr. Pacheco in room 111

There will be a brief Student Government meeting for elected representatives on Monday, Sept 16 after school in room 108. See Ms. Beckett if you cannot attend!
