Daily Announcements 1-13-20

Congratulations to Brooke Cleathero on her acceptance to Bay Path University, Colorado State University, James Madison University, and UMass Amherst. YAHOO!!

Somerset-Berkley outlasted the Falcons 71-68 in double overtime on Friday night. Trailing by 13 at the start of the fourth quarter, the Falcons rallied to tie the game on Ryan Ouellette’s jump shot at the buzzer. Ouellette finished with 27 points and 14 rebounds, Shayne O’Neil added 10 points and 10 rebounds, and John Marcille had 18 second-half points.  The Falcons play arch-rival Seekonk here at DR on Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m.

The music department would like to recognize the following students who represented DR at the Mass. Southeast District Concert Festival over the weekend: Ashley Damon and Bella DeCilio, chorus; John Lewandowski, orchestra; and Lindsey Moran, band. These musicians were chosen by competitive audition to perform in the event. Congratulations on your accomplishment!

Reminder to Pro Musica: rehearsals this week for the Tri-County Festival will be Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday after school in room 104. Participants are expected to make every effort to attend all practices.

The girls' basketball team defeated Somerset-Berkley Friday night 55-37 to improve their record to 5-2. The team will play Tuesday at Seekonk
